Miss U.T.O.P.I.A. 2016-2017

The 7th Annual Miss U.T.O.P.I.A. Seattle beauty pageant returns for a night of lovely ladies all vying for the coveted crown and title of Miss U.T.O.P.I.A. Seattle.

Join some of the most talented artists along with the current Miss U.T.O.P.I.A. Seattle, Bebe Jay; Seattle's most anticipated pageant of the year. 

The pageant will feature contestants competing in extravagant Swim Wear, exciting Talents, glamorous Evening Gowns, and Island Goddess Couture wear; to include show-stopping performances from our former Miss U.T.O.P.I.A. Seattle titleholders plus many other. 

A show not to be missed! Our pageants have been sold out in previous years so be sure to buy your tickets now.

  • Open seating first come first serve basis

  • Age 18 and older event

  • Online $20 or from any of our members for $20.

  • At the door $25.

NW Symphony Orchestra 
Concert 1: Family Concert- Family Favorites

The NWSO is a major supporter of Pacific Northwest composers and soloists providing a venue to showcase their talent. NWSO's 2016 - 2017 Concert Season focused on music, including 5 world premieres, by some of the most promising and talented women composers in the area

 

The first concert of the season will be performing: 

 

Star Wars Suite, John Williams
Capriccio Espagnol, Nicolai Rimsky-Korsakov
Ride of the Valkyries, Richard Wagner 
Overture (world premiere), Brad Hawkins *
Peer Gynt Suite #1, Edvard Grieg
Jig from St. Paul's Suite, Gustav Holst
     (with students from Mount Rainier High School Orchestra)

Maple Valley Youth Symphony Orchestra
"WHERE HAVE I HEARD THAT?"

This concert will feature classical music that you've heard in movies, plays, commercials, etc.  It'll have you thinking, "I've heard that music!  Where have I heard that?"  Not to worry!  We'll tell you!  Audience contest with prizes for correct guesses!

 

The Maple Valley Youth Symphony Orchestra is a music program that is deeply rooted in community.  In addition to advancing musically, we recognize the need to help students grow as individuals and connect socially to their peers and the community around them.
